অসুস্থ হওয়ায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছিলেন রাইওলা। অবশেষে গতকাল শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন তিনি। ইতালির খ্যাতনামা সাংবাদিক ফ্যাব্রিজিও রোমানো এবং রাইওলার পরিবারের পক্ষ থেকে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে।
১৯৬৭ সালের ৪ নভেম্বর ইতালির নোসেলা ইনফেরিওরে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন রাইওলা। তার বেড়ে ওঠা নেদারল্যান্ডসে। ধীরে ধীরে ইউরোপিয়ান ফুটবলের শক্তিশালী এজেন্টদের একজন হয়ে ওঠেন রাইওলা। এছাড়া ফুটবল ফোরামের সভাপতির দায়িত্বও পালন করেছেন। যে সংস্থাটি শীর্ষ এজেন্ট এবং তাদের খেলোয়াড়দের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করে।
বর্তমান এবং সাবেক বেশ কয়েকজন তারকা ফুটবলারের এজেন্ট হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন রাইওলা। এদের মধ্যে ইব্রাহিমোভিচ, আর্লিং হল্যান্ড, পল পগবা, ডি লিট, পাভেল নেদভেদ অন্যতম। তার মৃত্যুতে ফুটবল অঙ্গণে শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।
