ধানমণ্ডিতে ড্যাফোডিলের শিক্ষার্থীদের অবরোধ

বাসচাপায় শিক্ষার্থী আবরার আহমেদ চৌধুরী নিহত হবার ঘটনায় সড়ক অবরোধ করে বিক্ষোভ করছে ড্যাফোডিল ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ইউনিভার্সিটির শিক্ষার্থীরা। সকাল দশটা থেকে ধানমণ্ডির ২৭ নম্বরে মিরপুর-নিউমার্কেট সড়ক অবরোধ করে বিক্ষোভ করছে ড্যাফোডিলের শিক্ষার্থীরা।
বেসরকারি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়টির শিক্ষার্থী আবির হাসান জানান, সকাল দশটা থেকে আমাদের অবস্থান কর্মসূচি ও বিক্ষোভ শুরু হয়েছে। বিক্ষোভের পাশাপাশি আমরা সকল গাড়ির চালকদের লাইসেন্স চেক করছি।
এ সময় শিক্ষার্থীদের ‘আমার ভাই কবরে, পুলিশ কেন বাহিরে’, ‘আমার ভাই কবরে, খুনি কেন বাহিরে’, ‘উই ওয়ান্ট জাস্টিস’ ইত্যাদি স্লোগান দিতে দেখা যায়। এ সময় দেখা যায়, অ্যাম্বুলেন্সসহ বিভিন্ন পরিবহন নিজ উদ্যোগে পারাপার করে দিচ্ছেন আন্দোলনরত শিক্ষার্থীরা।
উল্লেখ্য, গতকাল মঙ্গলবার সকালে প্রগতি সরণি এলাকায় সু-প্রভাত পরিবহনের একটি বাসের চাপায় বাংলাদেশ ইউনিভার্সিটি অব প্রফেশনালাসের (বিইউপি) শিক্ষার্থী আবরার আহমেদ চৌধুরী নিহত হন। তারপর থেকেই সড়কে নেমে আন্দোলন করছে বিইউপি’র শিক্ষার্থীরা। তাদের সাথে রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানের শিক্ষার্থীরাও এই আন্দোলনে যোগ দিয়েছে।
