পেনশন নিয়ে নতুন প্রজ্ঞাপন

সরকারি চাকরিজীবীদের পেনশন (পিআরএল ও এলপিআর) নিয়ে বিভ্রান্তি দূর করতে নতুন একটি প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করেছে অর্থ বিভাগ। প্রবিধি অনুবিভাগের সিনিয়র সহকারী সচিব খালেদা নাছরিনের সই করা প্রজ্ঞাপনটি গতকাল রোববার জারি করা হয়।

সরকারি চাকরিজীবীরা এক বছর অবসরের প্রস্তুতিমূলক ছুটি বা এলপিআর নেয়ার পর অবসরোত্তর ছুটি বা পিআরএলে যান। এ ক্ষেত্রে এলপিআরে থাকতে পিআরএল নেয়ার বিষয়ে বিভ্রান্তি তৈরি হয়। বিশেষ করে পেনশন, আর্থিক সুবিধা ও অবসরের সময়সীমা নিয়ে জটিলতা দেখা যায়।
নতুন প্রজ্ঞাপনে এই বিভ্রান্তি দূর করতে বলা হয়েছে, এলপিআরকে পিআরএলে রূপ দেয়া হলে পিআরএলের সময়সীমা পেনশনযোগ্য হবে না। তবে এলপিআরের সকল সুযোগ-সুবিধা পিআরএলেও বহাল থাকবে।

এ ক্ষেত্রে উদাহরণ টেনে বলা হয়, কারো চাকরির বয়স ২০২০ সালের ৩১ ডিসেম্বর পূর্ণ হলে ওই দিন বিকেলে অবসর নেবেন। ছুটি পেলে অবসরের পরদিন অর্থাৎ ২০২১ সালের ১ জানুয়ারি থেকে তার পিআরএল শুরু হবে।
২০২১ সালের ৩১ ডিসেম্বরে (এক বছরের পিআরএল) ছুটি শেষ হবে। ২০২২ সালের ১ জানুয়ারি চূড়ান্ত অবসরে যাবেন তিনি। তবে পিআরএল ভোগ না করলে ২০২০ সালের ৩১ ডিসেম্বর চূড়ান্ত অবসরে যাবেন।
